Marijuana

I am for decriminalizing the cultivation and possession of small quantities of marijuana. I put it in the same category with making your own beer. As long as you’re doing it for your own personal use and you’re not selling it and you’re responsible about making sure it doesn’t end up sold in the school I think the Law should leave you alone. I’m not for the State promoting it (like alcohol) for the purpose of taxing it. I think the “War on Drugs” has ruined more lives than the drugs, has filled the prisons with people who will have little chance of a bright future as the result. It’s a horrible waste, puts the profits in drug dealing and corrupts everything it touches.

If marijuana were legal everyone would benefit, especially the taxpayer. If it cut into alcohol use, it might even save lives on the highways.
